Here is a couple of pictures of rags quilts that I have. The first is one my sister made me. I love it. The second I made for Jane after I found out she was a girl. I loved the fabric. We are going to be making lap quilts. They are going to be about 30" x 60". Square messurements are to come.

I want to adapt the measurements to be 8 inch squares. I can do the math and figure out measurements, but will I still benefit if I come to the class doing an 8" square quilt or will that be too difficult with everyone else doing a different size??

Amanda,
The size of your squares do not matter. The 'technique' is the same. We look forward to seeing you in class. If you have anymore questions please feel free to ask.

PS: Remember to leave an inch seam allowance so you will want 9" squares if you want then to be 8" squares when the blanket is done.
Hi Mindy:
I've just about got my blocks cut out, thanks for the jeans. I did tell everyone in RS that they didn't have bring the blocks if they couldn't get to them, but to come watch and learn. I stopped by the church and brought two of the sewing machines home to see if I can't get the tension fixed so they will work. I may just need to take all the sewing machines in to be looked at. Do you want me to bring my Iron and Iron Broad? I you do call me 363-7276.
I will see you at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
Thanks,
Linda
